Our First Annual Report!

We’re excited to present this report celebrating our first year. Indeed, looking back it’s hard to believe that it was only just over a year ago we were receiving initial support to bring the Climate Hub to life. Explore what we’ve achieved since then!

Collage by Rohina Dass.

In its first year, the Climate Hub started a climate mentorship program for more than 150 graduate and undergraduate students, planned and hosted the first ever UBC Climate Solutions Showcase, connected hundreds of university and community members around climate projects, designed a UBC Climate Asset Map to facilitate climate connections and action, supported the creation of a suite of art and communications projects centring climate justice, and piloted climate ambassador workshops in schools across Vancouver to empower young people on climate change, among other things.

We’re seeing huge success in our model spreading hope and agency, building joyful community and embracing systems-level change to advance climate justice. Crafting our first annual report has been a chance to assemble and present our experience and learning so far. We’re excited to share!

We are profoundly grateful to the students, staff, professors, community members, and UBC executives who believed in and supported our vision. We can’t wait to show you what we’re going to do next. Join us!
